After more than a year of the media holding it in utter disesteem, the theory that COVID-19 came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China has been picking up steam.
It's the injection, not a virus. Your article is well written, but the whole virus discussion, although important, I think is a diversion from the real killer. Recall, all the ferrets tested died. Do we expect happier results with humans? Focus on the jab folks. It won't make you popular, especially when so many have it now in the veins and vital organs, but come autumn, people will start to die. Let’s concentrate on a cure, an antidote, and on arresting the bad boiz behind Fauci, Soros, Gates, et al.
Alex, you seem to have missed a lot of the science backing up the lab leak theory. The Nicholas Wade article that turned the tide in public opinion really does have the story in regards to the years of risky research that created an optimally pathogenic cold virus. Remember that they were splicing that spike protein onto bat virus backbones in North Carolina and at WIV. There's a long and detailed paper trail in the academic literature. You still could be right in that some are spinning this for aggression towards China... but that doesn't change the fact that Covid is a creation of man's arrogance and folly.
Not really. He doesn't understand virology. I'm not saying I do, but people who do have pointed out a huge number of false claims in his piece. He's not a scientist and he shouldn't be treated as if he had any expertise in this field--or any other.
The Medika article is an exercise in rhetoric, not science. "Science Duuude" would be a great lawyer if Wade were on trial. I find it amusing that intellectual scientists and skeptics abuse logic to convince themselves and others that their beliefs are "absolutely" true, while believing those holding a contrary point of view are foolish morons. The problem is the lack of empiricism. The hard truth is that many "facts" are unknown or unprovable regardless of the lab leak/natural origin debate you are on. SARS-COV-2 has not been found in a lab or natural reservoir. Until then, each side may advance theories as new evidence emerges. The dialogue should refrain from hyperbole and ad hominem attacks. The Wade article was historically important as it changed the discourse about lab leak and gain of function research from being taboo conspiracy theory to an acceptable hypothesis. It was not written for a science journal. It was, after all, a laypersons article. Some of the brightest virologists on the planet at drasticresearch.org have blown the lid off the certainty that the pandemic was an accident of nature. I encourage you and others to explore the articles there and reconsider if Wade's article holds at least some truth or valid concerns.
so your response is to post an even more conspiracy laden website? Wade is on trial. His logic is tenuous at best. Most of those who hold contrary points of view are foolish morons. Including: flat earthers, anti vaxers, moon landing fakers, etc.
It's most likely the US's fault as much as it is China's. We created it, sent it to Wuhan and funded gain of research on it, since own laws forbade it, and we were fully aware of that lab's previous horrendous safety record. China has just as much dirt on our culpability as we have on them. We are in a blame game stalemate- the true origin/culpability will never come to light - too damaging to both the US and China's reputations.
The monkey ejaculate in the wet market (or whatever they claimed) was always a farcical theory. But the ease with which the Lab Leak theory was released suggested to me that it was just another ruse. Let's be frank, it is probably a bioweapon deliberately released--for profit. Follow the money.

Wade is a fucking right-wing, racist loon who publishes pseudoscientific pablum.
Well, his Medium article is well researched. If you don't like Wade try Yuri Deigin or the drasticresearch.org team.

You added nothing to the dialogue.
